Fuchsia dresses

A fuchsia dress needs nothing else: the simpler the cut, the more the colour shines. Our Magenta and Fuchsia shades come mostly in long dresses, often with a slit, with no embroidery or embellishment to get in the way. It’s the boldest colour in our collections, best saved for evening events.

A colour that speaks for itself

Hot pink doesn’t need any help. Fifteen of our designs keep it simple, with a draped bodice, a flowing skirt and no embroidery, and eighteen have no shine at all. The colour makes the dress, which is exactly what you want for an evening event.

When to wear fuchsia

Fuchsia is perfect for evening weddings, galas and summer parties, less so for a quiet church ceremony. It never competes with the bride, which makes it a great choice for a guest or maid of honour who wants to stand out without breaking the rules.

The designs

There are 9 A-line styles, 7 mermaid shapes and 4 sheath dresses. Seven are in satin, seven in chiffon and four in prints. Eight are backless, five have cut-outs, five a train and four have pockets in the side seams. Sleeves are rare: 11 designs are sleeveless and 3 have spaghetti straps.

The difference between magenta and fuchsia comes down to a hint of blue: invisible on screen, obvious side by side. Visit a stockist to compare both in the same fabric.
