What makes a wedding dress sexy?

Four elements, rarely on their own: a slit that opens the skirt over the leg, a truly bare back, a mermaid or sheath cut that follows the body, and a corset that defines the waist. A dress needs at least two of them to appear here.

The slit

It’s the most visible element, and the easiest to tone up or down: edged with lace, a slit feels softer; a clean-cut slit is bolder. Several of our designs take the first approach, allowing a high slit that still feels elegant.

Sensual and formal

These dresses are just as formal as the rest: several have a long train and intricate lace. The sensuality comes from the cut, not from a lack of fabric. An all-over lace mermaid dress is still a ceremony dress, however closely it follows the body.

Don’t forget comfort
