Evening dresses

Every Ellebeline evening dress is designed in Paris, in fabrics chosen to look as good at midnight as they did at midday. Long dresses, short dresses and dressy jumpsuits come in several colours, whether you’re a wedding guest, the mother of the bride, a bridesmaid or heading to a black tie event.

Evening dresses for every role

What you wear depends on your role on the day. Wedding guest dresses make up most of the collection: long or short, in colours you can wear all day. Long evening dresses go a step further, without upstaging the bride. Bridesmaid dresses are chosen as a group, in one shared colour. Mother of the bride dresses favour sheath shapes and short sleeves. And black tie and gala dresses go all out, with plunging necklines, high slits and trains.

Find your silhouette

A-line is our most popular shape, with 51 designs: a defined waist and a softly flared skirt make it the easiest cut to wear. There are 21 sheath dresses, straight and close to the body, and 15 mermaid styles, fitted to the knee before flaring out. Add 7 flowing straight styles and 6 jumpsuits, and there’s a shape for every figure. The silhouette shapes the overall look even more than the colour or the fabric.

Fabrics for day and evening

Chiffon is the backbone of the collection: matte and light, it moves beautifully and layers into soft, floaty tiers. Satin holds its shape and catches the light, giving structure to the more sculptural designs. Crepe is crisp and understated, ideal for daytime ceremonies. Floral prints, from watercolour to jacquard, account for almost a quarter of the range, while tulle and lurex are saved for our gala designs.
