A corset or strapless wedding dress is all about its structured bodice: a sweetheart neckline, a boned corset, a top that stays in place on its own without straps. It’s the bodice that shapes the waist, and it’s where most of the embroidery and lacework is concentrated.

A strapless bodice is simply a fitted top without straps. A corset is boned: vertical bones structure the bust and define the waist, sometimes with lacing at the back to fine-tune the fit. A corset gives more support; a strapless bodice is easier to wear all day.
Several of our designs feature a sheer corset in tulle or lace, with visible boning. It’s a recent, instantly recognisable look that gives you the structure of a corset without its opacity. These designs also appear among our modern and unique wedding dresses.
A strapless dress should be judged sitting down as much as standing up, and with your arms raised. Corset lacing allows for adjustments, which the boutique will fine-tune for you. This is the kind of dress where the fitting matters most: find a stockist near you and ask which designs they carry.
