Emerald green is an evening colour, the opposite of sage: rich and saturated, it draws every eye in the room. Satin makes it spectacular; chiffon softens it without losing its depth. Our Emerald shade comes almost exclusively in long dresses.<\/p>\n
An emerald green dress is made for galas<\/a>, dinners and evening weddings, rather than ceremonies in bright sunshine, where it can look heavy. In satin, used on 9 of our designs, it's a real showstopper; in chiffon, it softens while keeping its depth.<\/p>\n Of the 22 designs, 7 have a mermaid shape, the highest proportion of any of our colours, and 5 are sheath dresses. Ten have a high slit, five a train and five ruffles. Emerald suits structured cuts: it's a colour that calls for a clean silhouette.<\/p>\n Five dresses have an asymmetric neckline, three are off-the-shoulder and eight are backless.
