A long mikado dress with no print or embellishment: it’s all about the cut. The V-neckline is formed by a wide drape of fabric that passes over the shoulders and extends into short sleeves covering the top of the arm. The bodice is fitted, shaped with vertical darts.<\/p>\n
A high seam nips in the waist. Below it, the skirt opens into crisp, regular box pleats and falls to the floor, its fullness held by the body of the fabric. Two pockets are set into the side seams.<\/p>\n
The back repeats the same drape, with a deep V between the shoulder blades, edged by the folded shoulder.<\/p>\n
The matte mikado keeps the architectural line without stiffness.<\/p>\n
